I'm sipping a kadwa cup of coffee (3 tbs of coffee for 1 cuppa coffee without sugar is not a good idea, guys.. trust me) i've made, and reminiscing on the days when my history teacher used to tell us the importance of the "empires" that were being built by the European powers around Akbar chacha's time and how futuristic these guys were. At that tym, all I used to do was, sit behind the eye candy of my class... ahhhhh.. she was so pristine... (neway, we shall tok about the love(s) of my life some other tym) and chart out plans* to tok to her (u c, i've always been a shy guy).
*plans----> ladke mein soch vichaar karke, kaam karne ke gun bachpan se hi maujood the..
I just saw the most amazing cricket match India has won in a long tym, chasing down 316 made by the English. The thing that got me thinking about the empires was the composition of the English team. The people who scored the runs weren't English, neither were the people who took wickets/ catches. It was like watching India v/s the rest of the world with majority being English (saale yahan pe bhi cheating se baaz nahi aaye, umpiring mein toh kar hi rahe hain..). Cheating-cheating se yaad aaya, why don't our players cheat ?? Why is it that we accept whatever comes our way(generally bad) w/o any qualms ?? Why don't we act like Inzamam or Ranatunga, when they said, "tanashai nahi chalegi" ??
Are we too conservative ?? Are we too polite ?? Are we too antitransubstantiationalists (plz don't ask me the meaning, i dun even wheter its a word or not !) ??
I think, we are, and its good to be like this. We keep our mouths shut, n don't go blaberring w/o a reason. Choti-moti takleefein toh aati reheti hain, but when it matters, we do put the foot down w/o yaping n that's what separates us from some peacock haired South African, or a brash Lankan, or a bismillah-ur-reheman-e-raheem saying aalu.
I've yapped a lot for the day.. goes against my Indianism :D
